Duncan L. Hamilton is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough. He has special interest in Regional Anaesthesia. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University School of Medicine. He has previously held appointments as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, and as a Visiting Professor in Anesthesiology at Washington University in St Louis. He is an examiner for the final Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and the European Diploma in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care.
Duncan has a keen interest in clinical anatomy, and his current research interests include truncal interfascial plane blocks. He is also on the editorial board of Clinical Anatomy Journal.
